2011
Bers Grandsinge
The swapping event of 2011 was a great adventure for me. In 2004, 56 of my works as well as 2Basquiat disappeared. The police managed to recover some which had been put on sale on eBay. The individual who had swapped my works for one of my monographs confessed that it was him who had put my stolen works up for sale on eBay. He told me that he had purchased these works second-hand at my caretaker's who knew me well.
He expressed his admiration for my artistic production and suggested making a film together some time in the future.

What particularly drew my attention was the proposal by an architect in Amsterdam which was to create a permanent work of art inside their cultural building project such as a fresco or a vast panel. The swapped work would be one created by me inside their building!
I would be housed and fed until it was completed.
The terms and conditions are still being discussed so the swap has yet to be completed!
